Corporations are more “inefficient” than most government except when it comes to profit making. Once the government is of the working class it will be made more efficient. No, you can’t necessarily just not buy from bad corporations when they are monopolies, or if not, you don’t have enough time to research into each of the thousands of products you consume. No matter what system your government is probably going tax you. Of course they can’t be “all knowing,” they can use elaborate computer systems to take data and make educated decisions. They will take supply and demand in mind, even Marx never denied those factors exist. Companies already do lots of central planning, it’s just for profit and not for the good of people. What efficiency does capitalism have when a third of food produced goes to waste, while simultaneously billions are food insecure or starving? (Not for the response, but I’ve heard People’s Republic of Walmart, and Cybernetic Revolutionaries recommended for reading on future central planning.)
