Unfortunately I had to do a completely new run of elden ring to make it to the dlc and had already put in about 100 hours.

Now that I’m in the dlc I’m about halfway through it and starting to get burnt out.

I can tell it’s really good. I think I’m just burnt out on Elden ring because it’s all I’ve been playing lately in an attempt to unlock the dlc

Tldr I wish I would have had my Xbox and my old character to jump straight into the dlc instead of starting over on ps5 and playing through nearly the entire base hame.

No reason not to just take a break? I replayed the game over a month or so with a friend of mine mostly in coop, just to have a fresh character after respeccing my original one to beat melania shortly after release, but I’m pretty sure if I did the DLC and the Main Game closer together I’d get burned out too. And I definitely wouldn’t want to get burned out for a game like this, considering it’s presumably going to be a pretty long time until we get another game by Fromsoft.

Yeah that’s basically it. Most people had characters that they had already beaten rhe game with and could hop straight into the dlc.

I played the game all the way up until malenia just to acsess the dlc, and now I’m starting to feel burnt out in the middle of the dlc.

I think you’re right. Take a break play some other games and then come back and finish the second half of the dlc
