the infuriating thing is you were right thinking that a decade or so ago. I’d say 10 to 15 years ago it was great, it was still affordable. back then I was paying 800 a month to rent a one bedroom RIGHT on Queen Street West downtown which if you know Toronto was THE place to be in your 20’'s. I was making 65k a year at the time and I had more money then I knew what to do with. after that I decided to upgrade and got a 2 bedroom loft in an even trendier part of town for $1400 a month.
now? good luck. you can’t even rent a hole in the wall for $1400 a month here.
