    Yeah the middle-class African American Rondo neighborhood was totally demolished to make way for the interstate here, after an affluent white neighborhood successfully lobbied to have the planned highway relocated from their turf. It would’ve been way better where it was originally planned too, as it was going to hug existing railroad lines. Unfortunately the MN governor at the time was from that neighborhood, so the whites got their way. Now there’s just a stone overpass etched with Rondo to remember the lost community
