btw that switch game that’s like OB hasn’t hooked me yet. story is definitely wayyyy dissapointing compared to OB. super gendered and kinda gross too
That’s such a bummer about Unicorn Overlord. I’m fortunately still at the point where I can get hyped for a game and buy it about a year or two after release, so I haven’t even picked it up yet lol.
I’m not deep enough in yet to say whether it subverts these things but it was for sure disappointing to start. Bought it because I figured switch stuff never goes on sale
13 Sentinels was the right mix of anime slurry for me to probably glaze over some of the problematic stuff, but I distinctly remember a gender nonconforming character being treated relatively respectfully.
If you can tolerate intentionally signing yourself up for advertising emails, there’s a site called Deku Deals that price tracks Switch games. Most non-Nintendo developed stuff gets a solid price cut eventually, but yeah - the Nintendo stuff is ridiculous and only gets retailers cutting prices by a few dollars or whatever.
