Mr Lee is underestimating capitalism massively.

What we’ll see is more and more jobs doing absolutely nothing in real terms, so tonnes of middle management jobs created. All while we continue to not have enough teachers, doctors and nurses as we as a society insist on under paying them, so we’ll see those numbers dwindle.

Robotics and machine learning will continue to gobble up jobs and the companies that transition the quickest will leave the rest behind. There will be a few major fuck ups, but it’s all apart of the learning process.

Within five years, we’ll start to see jobs overseeing AI, imagine the staff in the supermarket watching self service tills and that will be the final nail in the coffin, but society will never admit it, because there’s far more profit in propping up the existing system than transitioning to a post wealth society where things working well is more important than people accumulating money.
