You dumb removed, that stereotype exists to protect people like you from everyone realizing that it’s the Israeli state that enforces the illegal settlements. The crazy gun wielding settler myth is to convince people that the colonization is being done by bad actors abusing loopholes of legal protection. Telling people that you’re a pacifist noodle-armed dork illegally occupying land reveals that it’s the IDF and Israeli government actually stealing the land FOR you.

The crazy gun wielding settler myth

I’ve never heard this explanation before and all I have to say is it’s very hard to think of that myth as not true when there really are gun wielding settlers who do violent shit.

Well no I mean you’re right. Many settlers ARE crazy and shoot up West Bank Palestinians to advance the colonization. What I meant is the myth that the settlements are illegal and Israel opposes them. Many zionists will try to tell you half truths that this only happens occasionally and they arrest people that break the law because Israel doesn’t want to colonize the West Bank. Israel does sometimes arrest settlers, but they are tried in separate courts that favor them than the courts that Palestinians actually living on the land are tried in. Israel could control all traffic in and out of the West Bank if it wanted to and boot out armed Israelis but they never do.

Oh I see, I guess I didn’t know that was a myth at all considering Israel uses the (kibutzes?) as barracks for IDF troops. Pretty hard to deny settlements being illegal when government troops are using them. But that does make sense now thank you.

Incredible. So not only are you living on stolen land, you are getting paid to sit around and play pretend (not to be dismissive of my fellow TTRPG enjoyers, I am one too) while the IOF slaughters your neighbors.

I got some Dungeons and Dragons I would like this piece of shit to meet.

Imagine being a starving Gazan child learning that just a few miles from the rubble that surrounds them is a privileged manchild who can support a comfortable life for himself by playing fantasy make-believe with his friends.

Every settler is a war criminal, every settlement a war crime

One of my favorite things on the internet is watching a clueless lib retort with “but if that’s true, what about America?” Only to be brutally dogpiled.

As absolutely unhinged as a lot of these Israeli settlers sound, they are verbatim what white settlers in North America said when they were stealing land.

Like, saying the US Army was too soft on the indigenous people. Or absolutely losing their minds over the government putting even the most mild “look we’re gonna genocide them and take their land, but you just have to be a little patient” type rules in place. They felt as entitled to the land as Israeli settlers do.

Defense of others as well, if Palestine were to ever be truly wiped out then other neighboring countries would start getting attacked in the name of “greater isntreal”

The “about” section of his website:

Uri was born in the Soviet Union in 1985 and for his sins was sent to Israel in 1989. He’s an avid hiker and has gone on hundreds of small adventures all over Israel. His day job is playing D&D with kids and teenagers in schools and community centers. Yeah, he can’t believe it either.

His writing is deeply inspired by all of the above—the refugee experience, the exciting and secret places he found on his small adventures, and the cool stories woven with his young (and old) players. Also, he often makes stuff up.

Uri’s RPG writing has been published by WotC, Paizo, Mongoose and other less savory venues. which, if you value your sanity, you’re strongly discouraged from pursuing. You’ve been warned.

When not writing or working, he’s looking for strange new places or climbing trees for no reason. When not doing even that, he sleeps. Fitfully, like a dog chasing a rabbit in a dream.

    Fun facts about Uri:

    – He is fluent in Russian, Hebrew, and English. He knows enough French to start a war but not to end it.

    – He attracts animals like a Disney princess. One time, a pigeon landed on his head and stayed there for an hour.

    – He attempted to arrest a porcupine once. However, the porcupine won. Porcupines always win.

    – He literally lives under a rock. This explains his unusual views on most current events.
