    The US went from being a net oil importer to net exporter after the war started.

    pretty sure this already happened during the Obama administration

      The US has always been a net importer until last year:

      But it’s true that the trend has been going for a while, just that the Ukraine war accelerated and pushed it across the boundary.

        apparently I was remembering the stat for refined petroleum

        In May 2011, the country became a net exporter of refined petroleum products.
