A few days ago, I posted this MV by Bailter Space. The vision is edited to play backwards, which you don’t quite realise until later on in the clip.

That made me think about other music videos that have some type of backwards video and it led me to ‘Sugar Water’ by Cibo Matto. Digging a bit deeper, I discovered that it was directed by Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind). This then made me realise that he also directed Kylie Minogue’s video for the song, ‘Come Into My World’, which isn’t reversed but does employ some clever editing/timing techniques in its creation.
