At the age of about 18 months, my little rodent went away quietly in his sleep, as I have now learned cleaning his enclosure this morning. I know hamsters have such tragically short lifespans, yet it never makes the pain of saying goodbye any easier

I barely woke up an hour ago and don’t really know what to say right now, but everyone here deserves to be in the know. You all have been so kind to Biggs and I. I only had him for a year and two whole days but they were special to me and special to a shocking amount of people on this website

    I’m so sorry. meow-hug

The little dudes are so charming and lovely, but they live such brief lives. I used to keep rats, it hurt terribly each time one passed. I’m sorry that Biggs passed.

Oh honestly I couldn’t imagine having to deal with rats. They really are such sweet creatures but they live just as long as hamsters, but they’re not solitary. I couldn’t imagine having to deal with so many losses like with little rats

Biggs marks hamster #4 for me though, and it really doesn’t hurt any less than any of the other 3. Maybe I’ll post them sometime around here
