In a cohort study, Maria Foraster and colleagues study associations between exposure to road traffic noise at schools, and trajectories of working memory and inattentiveness among schoolchildren aged 7 to 10 years in Barcelona, Spain.
at about 30km/h the noise from car’s tires equals the noise from the engine, and at about 50-60km/h the noise from tires completely overshadows overlaps the noise from the engine, and electric cars tend to be very heavy because of the battery, therefore the upper barrier is lower, meaning still a ton of noise 🤷♀️
Noise pollution is a real thing, I experience it on the daily.
Just one of the reasons electric cars, public transit, and bicycles are great, not just for combating air pollution and global warming.
idk about that
