A simple idea, but sheds a sense that the producers are the problems.
People need food and fish is a food provided. Scolding consumers as the problem doesn’t address that producers are making up the things we are being blamed for buying?
The point is that there are 8 billion people on the planet, and no amount of personal responsibility will resolve the problem. Legislation and enforcement are the only way to resolve this issue.
Stop eating fish. no demand no overfishing. you can survive without fish. we can’t survive in a barren desert

Do you know the idea of supply and demand?
did you try that?
what do you mean?
I mean did you try not eating fish to stop the fishing.
I stopped eating fish to reduce the over all consumption of fish. yes.
… did fishing decrease?
I don’t really understand your point.
If I am not buying fish then even by a miniscule amount the demand has decreased.
scale it up and you have your answer.

Why not both? But in the meantime, I’m going to deny my money to the industry.
if the global fishing hasn’t decreased due to your tactic, then another tactic might be necessary
what would you suggest?
