It’s kind of crazy. You hunt and kill civilians with a rifle, you get international condemnation (rightfully so). But if you level a whole building with everyone inside, nobody cares because you can’t see the dead people.
Same with the blurry thermal footage you get from drones, you’re just seing a vaguely human shaped blob of pixels, so it’s no big deal that they’re dying. Who cares if they are soldiers or civilians, it’s just a blob.
Basically just because you have a more sophisitcated way of killing civilians, it’s suddenly okay. It’s mind boggling.
Imagine if you had as much international outrage for every civilian buried under a pile of rubble in Gaza as there was with the recent attack by Hamas.
