Conservatives are wholly incapable of governing and can no longer efficiently operate the security state. Everything just collapses into a pile of shameless scams and clueless vigilantes doing crimes while a cop looks on and shrugs.
Liberals continue to command just enough ruthless competence to deliver on the industrial scale horrors of the late 20th century. They can keep the lights on at the bomb-making factory and shield the Trans PMC drone operators from being mass fired for wokeness.
The state - which was never particularly good but did occasionally deliver useful services - appears headed entirely towards a liberalized fascism under future President
or a publicly-financed series of domestic lynch mobs under President 
These are our two futures and they both suck.
