    Is the CIA’s own documents considered a “credible source”? Or is this “misinformation” again?

    Starting to think what liberals and the admins keep calling misinformation and disinformation actually means “anything that undermines the false narratives we were creating to manufacture consent”.

    Not always of course, sometimes fake news is legitimately fake news, which makes it all the more insidious because they’re undermining REAL disinformation by being calling it on genuinely correct things.

      A lot of what we know is from declassified CIA documents. They seem to be reliable more than not. They know that most people won’t read them and virtually none of the media will ever report on them, so it’s not really a concern for them.

        They are reliable. It’s a strategy called “Limited Hangout”. It falsely increases trust in the organisations, the stuff is old enough for people to dismiss as part of the past while being salacious enough for the media to get hits and content from. This leads to the media being somewhat positive towards these organisations as they’re part of their income, it also ties in with the much more direct means of media control that exist such as the relationships built up that allow them to plant whatever they want into the media or the literal state agents they put into companies to control them.

      Never forget that Russian meddling in the 2016 election was just the truth about Hillary’s emails. It never mattered that it was true; the truth benefitted the Russians somehow and therefore should be disregarded.

      Same for Snowden. Same for Manning. Same for Assange. It doesn’t matter what they said was true; the truth was bad and you were bad for believing it.

      It won’t stop the imperial core from being encircled and dismantled, but it is going to make things get really ugly here before they ever start to get better.

      The rest of the world will move on without the West, but here, it’s gonna be barbarism.
