How many people in Hong Kong are actually anti government? Is it most of them?

Hard to say. Western media will make it look like it’s 99% of the population and neglect to show you the other, massive, side (classic). For example, during the 2019 protests there were pro-police demonstrations which spanned as far as the eye can see, which was conveniently left out of most western media reports. Also, it’s very hard to count crowds when they are that huge. One thing we can say though is that numbers of 3 million people demonstrating on the “pro-democracy” side are just pure garbage that someone pulled out of their a**.The fact is, a majority of privileged youths (which is all of them) in Hong Kong, hate their government, which is actually code for believe themselves to be genetically and culturally superior to the Chinese on the other side of the border (thanks to US and NED propaganda efforts, and a lack of information control). At the same time, there remains a very frightening form of Stockholm Syndrome where many of them wish to return to the oppression of British control (not coincidentally, these people were to young to remember what that was like).
In sum, it’s probably about 50/50, and more people are waking up every day.

Sorry for the delay. I feel like I saw some coverage of it on SCMP back in the day, but looks like it’s been wiped. Nothing. See the Chinese links below, and if I find anything else about it, I’ll post here.u/sukieniko - originally from r/GenZhou

Isn’t HK mostly Han Chinese?

Yes but don’t tell them that

The vast majority of HKers wanted nothing to do with those rioters.u/Master00J - originally from r/GenZhou
Protests mostly come from a vocal minority. Believe back in 2019 when the protests were in full swing 56% of the population in Hong Kong voted for unification in a study. With even more advocating for a One Country Two Systems governmentu/VegetableBird99 - originally from r/GenZhou
2019 district elections: in terms of number of votes, imperialist funded hooligans had 57.44% and the pro-establishment had 41.32%.u/laundry_writer - originally from r/GenZhou
Notice how the anti-China Hong Kong liberals who were pro-Trump when he was president are now in support of Biden’s foreign policy despite going along with claims of him being “Beijing Biden” not too long ago. Their only consistency is their blind subservience to US imperialism.
