Citing that the Chinese government has an approval rating of 90+% among Chinese people often gets countered by the argument “Why don’t you ask the Uyghurs/Tibetans/Hong Kongers what they think of the Chinese government”

Are there any statistics on approval among these people and how do you handle such an argument?

    Ah so that’s why it’s called the CPC instead of CCP, I thought it was just semantics to distinguish liberals who don’t know what they’re talking about versus leftists. Didn’t realize that it had more connotations due to the wording of it.

      It’s more of a grammatical thing but liberals will purposely misspell it as a sort of “fuck you” towards China. It’s why it annoys me so much because they’re not doing it out of ignorance but a bad faith gesture. At least some do.
