Trying to play Hades but the my controller (DualShock 4) won’t work with it.
On a Steam forums thread, this is the suggested solution:
Could you try setting the launch options >/UseNativeGaInput=true >/UseNativeGaInputNoControllers=false ?
> · Right-click on Hades in your Steam Library and select ‘Properties…’
> · In the pop-up menu, look for the field with the heading ‘LAUNCH OPTIONS’
But like a poverty sticken asshole I have pirated the game so I am not running in via Steam. Moreover, I cannot install Steam because Ubuntu is throwing weird errors, but that’s another issue.
Any idea how if at all I can set these options via Lutris? I have tried setting them as environment variables but it didn’t work.
Maybe right click on game, configure, then game options, then add it in the “arguments” field?
Thanks. This is somewhat the solution because I and to add an environment variable, but it wasn’t the ones listed above, but something like
SDL_...
that some people on the protondb page for the game had posted about.
I had a game which didn’t work with my dualshock 4 out of the box, I had to activate dualshock 4 support in the Steam controller settings. I think programs outside of Steam can use Steams controller setup aswell but you could also try launching it through Steam.
