I accidentally picked too large a cup size and realized I have no idea how to stop the brew. I remember this happening once at an office Keurig and we just opened the lid making a hot mess everywhere. Is there really no way of emergency stopping the brew?

I’ve definitely unplugged it in a moment of panic and that worked.
I have a first gen Keurig and I can achieve the same effect by pressing the power button mid-brew.
I’m using the WiFi version. The power button is the brew button. Pressing or long pressing doesn’t stop it.
Pull the plug? Bonus: Also works when you’re being hacked.
Usually you’d press the same button you used to start brewing, but every brand does it differently
