Hey!

I would like to hear from you if you have a successful method to block the various cookie banners like:

  • small banners
  • full page banners with complicated structure
  • full page banners which say ‘pay or accept’
  • bonus points for newsletter popups

I do use uBlock and PiHole. But when I used extensive lists which handled cookies, my experience was that most websites broke some kind or another.

So please share your successful ways with me :)

This looks really promising. Not available on mobile though, but I will test on my desktop.

There is a way to enable arbitrary add-ons to work on Firefox for Android, but you have to do a few extra steps: register a Firefox account, create a collection of extensions, then add that collection to your phone. I can tell you that Conset-o-Matic definitely works if you take this route.

I use this as well, but it’s quite annoying to use in combination with Temporary Containers and Google. The addon ignores the “reject all” button and instead clicks to the customisation menu (another page) to disable all the settings and click save.

Googling for something and clicking a Youtube result becomes a flow of search->popup->redirect->save + redirect -> click Youtube -> redirect -> popup -> redirect -> save -> redirect -> video playback.

Should be fine without temporary containers, though.
