Then go punch Q like Sisko smh
Such an easy solution to your eternal problem
To think, Sisko started by punching a god and then escalated from there.
The fact that you CAN escalate from there is just wild
The Sisko sent Garak after him.
“I’m not Picard!”
“No…you’re much easier to provoke.”
It worked too, Q never came back to the station.
And tea.
I mean, to be fair to Picard, it’s unlikely that any conventional weaponry is useful on Q nor is there any way to contain Q. Trying to use weaponry on him or trying to contain him could make him respond in ways most unkind, and Picard knows this.
Poetry isn’t the worst place to start, but maybe he should have tried some Vogon poetry if he really wanted to get the point across.
Well, Sisko had a very different way of dealing with Q.
Do we ever hear of anything from the Gamma quadrant in any of the Star Trek series?
You mean other than the whole of DS9?
Not that I’m aware of, but I could be wrong
Edit: I’m so dumb I forgor Bajoran wormhole 💀
I’ve disgraced the entirety of DS9 one of the most bestest series I am deeply sorry for my transgressions
I was doing a little searching and found something about “The Dominion Wars” which is supposedly mentioned at some point in Deep Space Nine. I only watched a little bit of DS9, but I do remember that wormhole that I think went to the Gamma quadrant. I should really watch all of DS9.
Yes, yes you should.
It’s slow, and it can take time to get into, but I think the viewer relationship with the characters is all the stronger for that. The similarities to Bab5 are more than skin deep.
I had a friend once who called it “the intellectual’s Star Trek.” I had a hard time liking it at first, but it might now be my favorite series after TOS.
