I’ve tried to explain this exact thing to so many carpenters, they either look at me blankly or suck their teeth and give me an astronomical quote.
Its just 2 drawers… lol
Yes but you also have to evict a wizard
This is the kind of thing I hoped the small house movement would result in. Houses that took better advantage of the space they occupied. Instead we got crappy RVs and only unrealistically tiny spaces. I’d rather see a proper sized, but small house utilize all it’s space well with concepts like this. Wouldn’t it be cool to have a 1500 sq ft house that felt like a 2500 sq ft house because it effectively used all the space well?
I was following your comment until you called a 1500 sqft house small…
I am still fucking lost because I don’t speak joke Units.
for normal people out there 1500sq ft are about 140 sq meters.
ao that’s like a bigger house or almost twice my 3 bedroom apartment
In the US the median size of a single family house is about 2400 sqft. For an American 1500 is relatively small.
30 years ago, this was true, but now one has to have a high paying job to afford even that! I’ve seen over $350k for such a home.
I’m using current data for the median size of a US home. In fact 30 years ago it was quite a bit smaller. My comment did not address the price of such a home in any way.
Honestly I just sort of guessed a number. There’s a bunch of older/starter homes that are bigger than the traditional ‘tiny home’ and would never fit on a trailer, but are still what would be small for my area. I didn’t really know what size those would be.
This is my dream storage and i almost made this, since that end usually couldn’t store much(other than to keep Harry Potter in there), but then my couch will block it🥲
I just became smarter than i was before viewing this post 😊
I usually keep the step kid there.
I have this exact setup in my home! It’s so useful and keeps the hallway tidy. We also have a small cloakroom next to the pull out drawers, under the stairway landing.
I need to do this. I have a blank wall under the stairs right next to the entryway and I just have a shoe rack against it. Could move that stuff inside and have way more space.
We had a whole closet under the stairs in our semi-finished basement when I was a kid.
Enviable stuff…
