We’re amazed and humbled at this level of support, and how much this will accelerate our efforts!
Thank you so much @OSSCapital and @JosephJacks_ for adding an incredible $10,000/month to the #GodotEngine Development Fund! 💙

Godot Development Fund
Based on what they get from Patreon/month, this doubles their monthly donations.
They also have the Godot Fund which is already at $30k/mo alongside about $12k/mo on Patreon, so it’s approximately a 22% increase actually. Still epic!
Regardless of the relative size of the donation, it’s enough to hire a full time person.
Godot just behaving ruthlessly over the unity drama (and I’m all here for it)
Before all this Unity stuff, I actually didn’t know Godot existed.
I was literally about to start a whole set of Unity trainings and such to see if it would end up being something worth augmenting my career with, but it seems like Godot might be the way to go now.
I guess all that to say, thank you to all the comments mentioning Godot. Saved me time and money.
Same, haha. Godot, here we come!!!
And a special thanks to unity, who made this mass migration and awareness spreading possible!
Let’s go! Time for a big speedup in Godot development!
Sorry, who is OSS Capital? Should we be worried that they’re trying to influence/control the Godot? I don’t trust any investment/venture capital firm and while I’m happy the Godot team is getting the money these things are usually deals with the devil in the long run
It’s a VC firm that has invested money in companies that use Godot.
They apparently invest in open source companies. There isn’t much else on the internet about them.
I guess you have to almost thank John Riccitiello for that, haha
Wow, let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
Thanks Unity!
That’s amazing, congrats to everyone in the Godot team!
