Any FOSS alternatives to MS Paint? Krita and Glimpse are quite sophisticated, so maybe something simple to just use in a pinch.

Wonderful. This is perfect. Thanks so much!
If Windows XP level of MS Paint is good enough, I believe KDE’s Kolourpaint is something you might want.
YES. This is exactly what I’m talking about. Thanks so much!
oh, but is there a Windows version or something similar?
KDE does not seem to publish Windows versions of it. I assume there would be little point in releasing a Windows version, since Windows already has MS Paint by default.
Krita, GIMP and KolourPaint are all good but server drastically different purposes.
Have you tried GNU Paint?
I use it, and it is exactly like the old MS Paint.
If you want some Windows 98 - Windows Vista nostalgia, then install GNU Paint.
It’s just available for GNU, but thanks anyway.
@cynthia
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/GNU_Paint is closest, but you might also look at https://www.pinta-project.com/deleted by creator
was there something here or did you write

Okay, thanks
I was recommending KolourPaint but I realized it has already been recommended by someone else so I deleted it.
I’ve never used it myself but I’ve heard good things about Pinta: https://www.pinta-project.com/
Edit: Just saw that this question was posted 2 years ago 😅
My Paint
That depends a lot on what version of MS Paint you want to replace.
For the old pixely version there is a clone: https://github.com/1j01/jspaint
A good alternative for that old pixel paint is https://mtpaint.sourceforge.net/, which focus is mostly pixelart and having a simple interface. It’s not as extreme and complex as http://grafx2.chez.com/
IDK if this helps but there’s also JSPaint which is a pretty close approximation in the browser.
I’d like to add Quick Draw Everywhere to the line-up (although it’s an android app)
I don’t know if it’s too complicated or not, but I’d say give paint.net a try if you’re using Windows: https://www.getpaint.net/index.html
Oooh of course! It’s not exactly Open-Source, but it’s free and really good. Cheers.
