With crazy I mean somehow strange or funny to a level that makes you wonder how that show’s script ever got green-lit let alone funded…
I mean surprisingly good examples though. I guess we all know some bad examples ;)
I haven’t actually watched it yet myself, but I’ve heard some people say that Wonder Egg Priority is pretty bizarre.
It’s actually not that crazy. Pretty good overall show so far though.

but tatami galaxy is my pick cause it’s my favorite

the Ghost Stories dub is pretty wild.
It was so poor in Japan that they didn’t care what the English dub did to it, when dubbing they just tried to make it as funny as possible and one upping each joke and somehow it actually turned into a fairly decent story as well. It’s absolutely hilarious.
I have only checked out a single episode some time ago so I can’t vouch for it but Sarazanmai seems to fit those requirements. I recall it being pretty crazy and the beginning was quite good but I’ve decided to save it for later.

Sarazanmai is just so good! I can’t remember a single thing about its ending, I just remember it being a blast the whole way through.
Anything by Kunihiko Ikuhara (the creator of Sarazanmai) tends to be strange!
An example would be Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo, which is surprisingly not all that bad and plenty crazy.
