Hexbear can’t see external images you have to put them physically in the message, they look like this otherwise:

Just a useful thing to know about hexbear really. The externals are blocked for dox/tracking/exploits/privacy purposes. Personally I think it’s good practice to get people to post them to the instance anyway.
