I could see what they mean. Nonviolent protests rely on raising awareness and collective conciousnrss of an issue. If those people who are becoming aware aren’t capable of compassionate decision making and a strong desire for a better, more jsut and equitable future, what good does it do to help them be more aware of the issues?
