To be fair to them, they gave Perez priority on the first set of pits which catapulted him up from mid pack to the lead.
And nothing in the timing was suggesting that Perez would hold 1st anyway
You’re right. Max definitely had enough pace that he would have overtaken on track if the undercut didn’t happen.
