I saw this morning that firefish.lgbt has been shut down due to a total loss of data.

It is a tragedy and an unfortunate reminder that even though backups are successful, you don’t have actually backups until you’ve tested a full recovery.

This is a friendly reminder to our admins (and other sysadmins), please test your backups and practice recovery protocol. 💖
