I have been planning for ages to clean up my room and remove the spider but since I’ve been depressed and my executive dysfunction has been at work, I didn’t do anything about it.

Guess what happened today - the spider caught a fly and is happily feasting right now. So turns out I haven’t been all alone lately - both the spider and I have been in some kind of hibernation for some time. The spider also doesn’t initiate smalltalk so I think it is fair to assume it is autistic too.

Anyway I’ve posted here lately as I haven’t been well, so I’ll just let you know that I feel a bit more positive about getting shit done and change things for the better. hugs (for anyone who wants one)!

The night security guard where I used to work was named Marcus. He’s a really nice guy who actually lives on sight. During the day he works at the local Walmart as a butcher. Sad to hear that his fly twin died :(

Ah no, don’t shed a tear for Marcus. Marcus was a dick.

Once I lived in Melbourne and I left a Huntsman on my ceiling for 3 months. He grew from the size of a quarter to the size of a tennis ball. I named him George.

I have no idea why, but this just made my morning. It’s like I found what I was scrolling for, and am now able to get up & go about doing a day.

If it’s this guy, a “daddy long-legs”, he’s your friend. I have these all over the house all year round, and I go out of my way not to disturb them, because they are supremely beneficial: They eat other spiders. Their long legs make them formidable fighters in a 1v1, and they will murder all competing spider races as a matter of course. This is really nice if you, like me, aren’t bothered by daddy long-legs, but are bothered by spiders like this fella, which is a common housemate in my part of the world.

By keeping a legion of daddy long-legs as pets, I almost never see any other type of spider inside my house. It’s a symbiotic relationship, and I love my spiderbros.

it is a daddy long-leg! They seems really nice - in fact he dropped the rest of the fly on my keyboard for me to snack. It was also nicely wrapped in spider webs!

I gotta figure out how to get some daddy long-legs to move in with me. I’ve caught 4 small wolf spiders in my house in the past 3 weeks. This is unacceptable.

I think you should name the spider Able, because I named a houseplant Able (it was a dumb Cain) and then it died on me, so I think it’s memory would I’ve on well as a spider
