Inspired by the post about Tennocon 2023 hopes, I wanted to see how people felt about the story quest so far and see what the most enjoyable was
Probably cliche, I absolutely love Sacrifice. The opening between Ballas and Umbra, seeing a warframe fighting on its own, then after we rebuild him the scene in the orbiter.
What took it to the top spot to me is the final scene, helping Umbra share the trauma
Honestly is hard to beat “This is what you are” I love Stalker, and the part where your warframe carries you made me think that the frames have some level of connection or sentience (pretty sure that is not how it works but I like it as my head canon)
Second Dream for sure! For so many years before people wondered about the nature of the frames, to finally get an answer. The scene when the pod opens, your kiddo falls out and the screen glitches out while your frame collapses is still the greatest moment in Warframe. It kinda sucks that nowadays with Duviri people don’t get to experience that surprise reveal anymore.
They did remove Duviri as an optional starting point in one of the more recent updates, so operators might be spoilers again. I guess it depends on how often people talk about operators/drifters and if they’re used in promotional content.

- Removed the Duviri Starting Path from the New Player Experience. Now, all new Tenno will start with the Vor’s Prize Quest, and the Duviri Paradox will be available to them after its completion.
- After months of review of player behavior, we are making this change to give all new players an accurate representation of core Warframe gameplay before we introduce them to the magic of Duviri. Offering two Starting Paths for new players was an experiment – and not one we regret – but a key part of experimentation is continued iteration after the fact to ensure the best player experience possible. Tenno who already chose the Drifter Path should not be affected!
(wording sounds like it might just have Vor’s Prize as a prerequisite though)
Wasn’t aware they removed Duviri as opening, but putting it anywhere before The Second Dream ruins the surprise anyway. That quest is already available early enough, it’s a shame they didn’t just lock it behind it’s completion.

I was thinking about that the other day, I used to avoid Operator mode with random that might not know, but I guess with Duviri any new players would know the secret now
I loved that it made Stalker have an existential crisis, do we know if he is actually a warframe with an operator or no?
I don’t think we’ve ever got a definite answer but I think the most likely option is it’s a Rell/Harrow situation, an Operator fused with the Warframe.
I like the mystery but I think a Stalker focused story would be sick, that sounds very likely
Chains of Harrow always seemed the most memorable to me, but that’s probably because Wally likes popping up just often enough to remind you without being too repetitive to the point you drown him out.
I think the Second Dream is probably my favourite though, followed by The Sacrifice because of how much lore was in them.
I took a few months off a little bit ago, Wally jump scared me halfway to death when I came back and completely forgot about him
I do love Chains, though I think part of it went over my head
