In some liberal fever dream, people were paid 5 mao per post to defend the CPC on the internet. Which doesn’t really make a lot of sense since they also believe mentioning Tiananmen Square will get you SWATed. So dissent is never posted online, but when it is there’s a ready team of professional posters defending China.
