I can’t get crème de violet or yellow chartreuse so I guess it’s time to move on to fall cocktails. This is 1/2 oz Aperol, 1/2oz coffee liquor, and 2oz dry gin. It’s a really satisfying drink that toes the line between refreshing and something heavier like a Manhattan or Martinez. For the coffee liquor I’m giving a shout out to elevation 5003 in Fort Collins. Honestly, their crème de violet, coffee liquor, and felernum are better than anything I’ve tried. I’ve moved 2 states away and still call in orders to be shipped (their cbd bitters aren’t bad either).

I’ve been enjoying a bit of aperol in my iced coffee this summer. I think the orange flavor really shines through with coffee. (An iced coffee negroni/americano is not bad either). I can see how this drink would be good!
