I just try to talk to people, ask questions, try to let them come to their own decision to act based on facts and how they want to feel about themselves and the world. I don’t really know. Id imagine if I went down into town and started some activity, id be arrested, definitely questioned, and i have a criminal history and the cops hate me, so arrested. I’m down to mostly personal action, how I spend my money, where I keep it, if at all 😉, driving bare minimum, flying is out of the question. Eat healthy, and try to stay mindful moment to moment. All while sowing well aimed discontent, because shit is out of hand, and once people stop striving for a better life, it’s over. We started this mess, we gotta come full circle.
Where I’m at, people are slowly getting better, but not everyone obviously. Car culture and right wing shit is pretty popular here. What climate change info has been trickling down is definitely working, slowly, and I think we need to focus on hitting people where it hurts. The heart, mind, and how they feel they fit into the world and why. That’s how i came to be what I am now at least, and ive gone through my fair share of extremely apathetic phase(s). The obvious thing would be education, but even that has become a gd battle of culture.
Your other question is pretty complex and im not versed enough in theory or propaganda to really say. But I know I’ve had to shed much of my indoctrination, even recently, and I’ve always considered myself a lefty smarty pants, so, imagine my surprise when I realized it was working lol.
I feel like the people I encounter are just done. No trust, hope, nothing. Its definitely a long road for humanity tbh. People don’t want to take part in the world like that, and it’s really the main difference between right and left from my small perspective, that is a fundamental misunderstanding on what our place in the world is, and our goals as a species. People are lacking appreciation imo and ime.
