I had no idea there was such a thing as FOSS justice warrior extremists. This belligerent and disruptive behavior on lemmy makes me feel less bad about renewing my Adobe creative Cloud subscription and a lot less interested in FOSS as a concept if this is the community I have to be a part of. I used to be into it, but this mentality is toxic.
Right… but then why push people to post here? This isn’t where the code is - go ping the developer to move the code somewhere else. I don’t care where it’s hosted but posting bugs here is asinine, the code isn’t here, they won’t be listened to unless they’re tracked.
Yeah, why not post bugs and issues on a free platform instead of on a corporate-owned closed-source platform?
Lemmy itself is on GITHUB. The corporates have had you in their clutches all along, oh nooooooo!!!11!1!!11oneoneoneone1

Sync is a closed source platform lol
Lemmy isn’t.
Yeah, so if using github is such an issue for you for those reasons, why would you use a closed source ad-injected client to browse it?
That’s a good point. I actually don’t.

Wasn’t aware that it’s closed-source adware and just assumed something for the Fediverse is actually free software due to the nature of the Fediverse.

It’s directly linked on the official Lemmy webpage:

K… But the code isn’t here… It’s over there… So if you want him to see issues… Idk what battle you’re trying to fight here.
A battle against corporate-hosted closed-source public Git repository distribution platforms.
Isn’t even the Linux source hosted on GitHub? I’m kinda in agreement with the sentiment on some level, but it’s not the hill to die on
