Before the 2010s - there was a very widespread acceptance of teens dating young adults to adults, even growing up in the 2010s some of my classmates had boyfriends that were like 18 to 25 or so, yes even the parents knew about it, and they were only 13 to 15.
Even with celebrities back then you had 28 year old Jay Z dating 16 year olkd Beyonce, 30-something Paul Walker dating a 17 year old, 39 year old Jerry Seinfeld dating a 17 year old… The list goes on
