They try to play it off by saying the Kevlar plate carrier will catch the spalls but that’s honestly more risk than it’s worth if you’re in the situation where you’re getting stitched with hot chunks of lead love.
People in the market for literal human shields, duh! The kevlar goes in before the baby, for comfort.
Don’t forget the class 4 steel plate
For armor I would always recommend ceramic over steel. In this case the steel spalling would dramatically increase the shock factor.
