        For armor I would always recommend ceramic over steel. In this case the steel spalling would dramatically increase the shock factor.

          oh I know, I’m just imitating some gunfucker hogs I know who insist on buying metal plates over ceramic. They try to play it off by saying the Kevlar plate carrier will catch the spalls but that’s honestly more risk than it’s worth if you’re in the situation where you’re getting stitched with hot chunks of lead love.
