Exactly 2 months after NeoChat 1.0, the NeoChat team is happy to announce a new release of NeoChat. NeoChat is a native client for the decentralized communication network Matrix. Aside from the many bug fixes, performance improvements, and subtle appearance improvements, NeoChat 1.1 brings many new features that will make your experience with it more convenient. Thanks to the work of Hannah, Nicolas, and Tobias, this release also brings NeoChat to many more platforms.
I’d love to use that instead of Element. I can’t wait for them to support E2EE (and calls but it’s less important for me).
Neochat is good. If you want E2EE, nheko is another option. Anyway, its good to see native clients. Electron apps suck.
I saw that nheko has an experimental E2EE so I don’t know if it’s worth right now. But yeah I really hate electron apps.
