I’ve heard the phrase multiple times in speeches of President Xi Jinping and I am somewhat confused by it. Rejuvination to me sound like it would constitute a return to China’s past, but in the past (as I understand) before the CPC’s and Mao Zedong’s leadership, China was a feudal, sexist, conservative country. I’ve heard ultras/anarchists/liberals say that it means a fascistic “return to the mythical past”. I understand that that notion is probably not true, but I am nevertheless confused on its meaning. So, what is the “great rejuvination of the Chinese nation”?

Make up for the “century of humiliation” and more, under socialism.
