Cuba introduced state paid gender reassignment in 2010 (Tho it’s a pretty liberal article claiming there are reeducation camps in Cuba)

This is amazing, as I imaged that LGBTQ+ would be a little under pressure due to the prominence of Catholicism in South America. Thankfully that is not true
