MrCenny@lemmy.worldtoLemmy Support@lemmy.ml•[DISCUSS] Website to monitor Lemmy servers' performance/availability3·2 years agoOh sorry, didn’t see that 😅
much in the same vein as lemmy-status.org
I was also thinking that an opt-in or something similar would be nice. As overloading small project raspberries with a large monitoring website wouldn’t be that nice…
MrCenny@lemmy.worldtoLemmy Support@lemmy.ml•[DISCUSS] Website to monitor Lemmy servers' performance/availability3·2 years agoThere does exist something similar to this: https://lemmy-status.org. It will eventually have an automatic list, but it is not implemented yet. They are currently adding instances in manually. The owner is @jelloeater85@lemmy.world, one of our infra people at lemmy.world. The website is not connected to lemmy.world by any means btw.

Allright. Good luck 😉
How does the directory discover communities? As, for instance, this community (!fediverse@lemmy.world) does not exist in the directory.

MrCenny@lemmy.worldto Lemmy.World Announcements@lemmy.world•[Done] New try at upgrading to 0.18.1 July 1st 20:00 CET2·2 years agoIt should be good now. The discord server is only for people who help moderate the instance itself, and not community mods. I help with the moderation part. If you have questions then you can ask in the !support@lemmy.world or !moderators@lemmy.world communities. Sorry :)
MrCenny@lemmy.worldto Lemmy.World Announcements@lemmy.world•[Done] New try at upgrading to 0.18.1 July 1st 20:00 CET12·2 years agoIt’s on a private discord server for instance admins and mods, so not for public. Sorry :)
MrCenny@lemmy.worldto Lemmy.World Announcements@lemmy.world•[Done] New try at upgrading to 0.18.1 July 1st 20:00 CET30·2 years agoHeyo! Small update from someone who is watching the upgrade live; it’s ongoing still. Seems like they are still facing some performance issues. So grab your popcorn and wait! 🍿 (Btw, i am not a sysadmin, just a moderator)
MrCenny@lemmy.worldMto Fediverse@lemmy.world•New posts keep auto popping up on lemmy.world without refreshing [Edge]English8·2 years agoI think that is a problem with the current back-end version of Lemmy (0.17.4). I belivie that this is fixed in 0.18.0, but Lemmy.world has not been able to upgrade to it, as it is, presumably, badly optimized for larger Lemmy instances such as Lemmy.world.
MrCenny@lemmy.worldto General Discussion@lemmy.world•Honestly what's stopping me from using lemmy more is still the lack of any good front page sortEnglish7·2 years agoAs @ConTheLibrarian@lemmy.world says, 0.18.x wil fix this issue, but it is not optimized enough for larger instances such as lemmy.world. You can also sort by the top of the day, week, month, year, and all posts.
Great job guys and other contributors 😉👏
