There’s going to be an Urgent Question on the prisons crisis after PMQs today, so I thought I’d share this for some helpful background info.

We’re halfway there already, it’s been pretty much all private contractors that sign off on their own work doing prison construction and works for a decade or so now.
I’d be surprised if at least some of the operational stuff wasn’t also farmed out to private orgs.
