There was a kid I worked with who was super into spiders and would want to watch spider videos on all of our breaks…

There were some things I absolutely did not need to know, let alone see.

I saw a jumping spider while I was brushing my teeth, and I jumped back and she kinda cautiously prepared to run, so I said "Oh no I’m sorry lil spider I didn’t mean to scare you! You keep doing your thing, buddy! And she relaxed and then moved under the sink so I wouldn’t accidentally squish her while I brushed

I thought nothing of it until I saw her on my way the next day, and I said “Hi!” And waved, and she waved back lol

She waved back every time I saw her so I am pretty sure I made a friend/familiar

They’re real cute though. Also, smart by the spider standards, but not too smart. We once accidentally killed one because it refused to leave the kayak while on the ground, then hid somewhere, and later exhausted itself running around with nowhere to go 🥺 Maybe there was some way to save it, but I seem to also not have been smart enough

I have one that lives in a crack by my doorbell. I say hi every morning when I’m walking the dogs but he seems timid. It’s a nice surprise in the middle of the night when he sets off the doorbell camera. He is cute.
