Oddly what stood out to me is that bartenders seemed to wear white coats like a doctor or pharmacist. Curious if that was the standard or just at McSorleys Bar
It seems like a widespread thing at the time, similar outfit appears in Nighthawks (1942). Not sure when it changed.
