    I wish this video brought up cell shading. It’s been used a lot in games, but hasn’t been used a lot in animation (the only animations I can think of are Into The Spier-Verse, and The Dragon Prince). Idk why but I’ve always preferred cell shading over 2d animation despite the fact that it’s meant to emulate (or at least look really similar to) 2d animation. (Now let’s hope this comment doesn’t constantly duplicate itself)

    Hmm, I guess it is also a question of available “grunts” to to this kind of 2d animation… after decades of predominant CGI there simply aren’t many people left (outside Japan) that are able to do this kind of stuff and are willing to do so at the low salary companies are paying for the CGI stuff.
