We started the Dota Pro Circuit in 2017 to answer a question that was coming up more and more frequently: How do you earn an invite to The International? Up until then, invitations were driven by a handful of regional qualifiers and “golden ticket” invites from Valve. Distribution of these invitations created an exciting moment every year for fans, but it was hard for pro players (and their fans) to know the exact path to The International.

TL;DR: No more DPC

    Hmm, on one hand DPC gives steady high level tournaments. On the other hand, like the article said, there’s almost no notable third party tournaments anymore. But I think this is partly because orgs can’t sell tickets anymore

      It’s mainly going to be interesting what the DPC will be replaced with. There’s little doubt whatever was written in the blog is true, but the question is, what is a better system? Guess we’ll see after TI :)
