Just wanted to share my Superstonk permaban and their reasoning for it lol. It was inevitable, surprised they let me stay till td tbh lol. I’m sure everyone knows how corrupt they are but for any still doubting:

Appreciate your trying to help interested users learn about what alternative communities there are to discuss GME, DRS, the markets and investor advocacy.
It is unfortunate that the mods of some reddit communities are not interested in utilizing this open source platform where we can be free to communicate with each other.
Speaks volumes that they don’t open a Lemmy instance and talk about it.
Really makes it obvious how corrupt, two-faced, and duplicitous they are.

I don’t understand why people are happy discussing gme on reddit when you can’t even crosspost or discuss another subreddit. What other subreddit is under that kind of restriction? It’s clearly censorship that reddit used to be the antithesis of. Now you get banned just for mentioning a third party alternative. The fact that shills made their way here and are complaining on a post about superstonk is proof enough.
Next reddit outage, comment on the gangnam style and wutang cream youtube videos about lemmy.
I think a lot of it has to do with there, supposedly, being a lot of people there. Obviously, many/most are bots and shills, but that’s a big draw, I think.

I haven’t been banned there yet, but seeing the river of butthurt pour from the Superstonk mods with their “brigading” bans of users for really no good reason, kind of just makes me not want to participate there.
They talk about people here not participating in good faith, yet they will ban anyone simply for mentioning the platforms name.
It really seems they’re the ones not participating in good faith. 🤷

Unfortunately reddit and superstonk are completely corrupted.
I did up to the point when I was banned. It’s good to still lurk there and PM people with this community.
I’ve been banned for fucking ages now lol. Not only that, 3 of my paid alts also took a hit.
It’s always been compromised. Lemmy is also filled with shills though, just be Zen and DRS. The problem is only getting exponentially worse for them as time goes on.
