    The disturbing part is that other than when the last ones happened and their very broad frequency (400-2500 years based on the ones known from data), we don’t really know where they come from, or how we could handle it with a technological-dependent society. Last one was more than 1000 years ago.

    This would be devastating to modern society. I was reading it could take years to get the grid back up fully.
