Do you have any pictures of the aeroponic plumbing setup? I have a 36"x18" flood/drain setup that I’m considering converting to aeroponic. Have you noticed many advantages to running aero?
Made a little album a bit ago.
I honestly can’t answer that question. I went from soil and designed and built this myself from what I saw other people doing. I really don’t have anything to compare it to, and I doubt much is dialed in perfectly. It’s only my first run with it, but I also can’t argue with the results I’m seeing.
S
looks healthy! might be due for some defol though
They are on flowering day 32, I don’t think the amount of foliage is presenting any sort of issue for mildew (famous last words I know) I prefer to only remove leaves if they are dying or for other specific reasons.
The plant spends energy storing energy in the leaves, indiscriminately removing them is only hurting yield, I know there’s people out there who claim otherwise, but the science isn’t there.
For what it’s worth, once a leaf is 21 days old it’s done taking energy from the plant, cutting it off only removes all that energy it spent making it. And now it can’t tap into that reserve nor use it for photosynthesis.
Now on the other hand, if you have one of those lights you hang a few inches from the plant, you’re not going to get any meaningful penetration due to the inverse square law. So leaving a bunch of lower foliage can be detrimental to having dense buds, but yield will be the same.
It’s not such a simple situation as you can see.
Good points, they look happy so that’s all that matters. I only defol if lower bud sites are getting covered up
Thelowers arent looking wispy. so I think I’m getting some decent penetration and can leave the foliage.
