LIGHT UP THE NIGHT is an analog science-fiction short film set in an Orwellian, futuristic 1980s. The story tells the tensions flaring between rebellious citizens and robotic law enforcement. We are introduced to two dissidents as they take aim at the city’s looming, panoptic control tower, while local band The Protomen take the stage amidst the action, inciting unrest as they narrate the struggle.

I’ve seen The Protomen twice and they were always amazing.

I think the best way to get into The Protomen is to sit down and listen to the first album while reading the lyrics/liner notes. It’s sooooooo epic.

Lucky!!! They have not come to the west coast since I have discovered them. It is definitely a dream though!

I do have ACT 1 and ACT 2 CDs and have spent more nights than I care to admit listening and reading along.

So epic, there’s really nothing quite like it. ACT 3 soon pls

I can’t remember what song or album it was where the singer wails the word “alone” with the guitars going nuts in the background… That shit made me cry like 10 years ago when I first heard it.
